Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA) has announced that the authority would be accept payments higher than a set amount digitally through online payment options.
According to MIRA, to facilitate the Finance Ministry’s initiative to reduce the use and dependency of hard cash in the economy the authority would accept payments higher than MVR 100,000 and USD 5,000 made via online methods.
The payments would be accepted through VaaruPay, MIRAconnect or MRTGCS.
