Person who spoke to the media from Nolhivaranfaru has said that the incident occurred during a family picnic to Hdh.Kuda Rah, where Shifan got into waters and drowned.
Hdh atoll hospital’s manager has informed that Shifan’s body was brought to hospital around 11:30 in the morning, and that quick treatment was given. However, the doctor had confirmed that he had passed away before the arrival of his body to the hospital.
Local media outlets reported that he was found in sea to one of his family members and he was taken to hospital within 8 minutes.
