Ooredoo Introduces E-Sim Services – The First in Maldives

In a function held at Dharubaaruge, the E-Sim service was inaugurated by the Tourism Minister Ali Waheed and CEO of Ooredoo Maldives Mr Najib Khan.

Speaking at the function CEO Khan stated that Ooredoo will always bring forward the latest advancements in technology to the Maldives and make sure the country and people do not lag behind in the ever-expanding technological Telecom industry.

The E-Sim enables the customers to use up to 9 different phone numbers from the respective carrier in one phone using the digital sim feature according to statements made by Ooredoo. With this sim, customers would be able to use both postpaid and prepaid plans along with tourist plans for visitors to the country. However, those feature is limited by the phones capable of doing so. These phones include the iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone XR, Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3XL.

The E-Sim retails at the same price as a normal physical sim and Ooredoo has introduced the very latest in Telecom technology to the Maldives.
