Indian cabinet approved the proposal to start ferry services between the Maldives and India.
In an article released today by the Indian Press Information Bureau, it was stated that the MOU agreement signed by the two countries during Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the Maldives last month, has been approved by their cabinet.
The agreement allows the opportunity for people to travel and transfer cargo products between Cochin, India and Haa Dhaal Kulhudhufushi, Maldives. This was a vision shared with the Indian government during the Presidency of Mohamed Nasheed as well.
