MVR 57 million worthy of a project to develop a modernized harbor at HDh.Hanimaadoo has been awarded to Maldives Transport and Contracting Company by the Ministry of National Planning and Infrastructure.
The agreement was made to finish the whole project within one year and two months which was signed between COO of MTCC Shahid Hussain Moosa and the permanent secretary of the ministry Zeeniya Ahmed Hameed.
The planning ministry states that the developed harbor would consist of an establishment of a 355 meter outer seawall, inclusive with a 270 meter inner seawall with 50 meter revetments.
It is believed that this would make things much easier for the people to load and off load passengers as well as other commodities brought. A lot of other Harbor developments are on going contracted to MTCC all around the Maldives.
