The Weekly Fiscal Development as of 21 November puts cumulative GST total at MVR6,613.2 million.
The Goods and Services Tax (GST) was among the very first of taxation levied in Maldives.
As per review week stats, Tourism Goods and Services Tax (TGST) collection has hit MVR4,168.2 million.
Thus, the tax maintains its position as the strongest revenue contributor to state.
On the other hand, General Goods and Services Tax (GGST) which traditionally held the second spot has slipped to third in annual terms.
As of 21 November, the second spot is held by collections from Import Duty which has reached MVR2,873.9 million.
Meanwhile, GGST collections has reached MVR2,445.1 million in annual terms.
Moreover, the Business and Profit Tax (BPT) which falls under Business and Property Tax has reached MVR2,162.8 million.
As of review week, Airport Service Charge has reached a cumulative total of MVR660.1 million.
In addition to this, Green Tax cumulative figures put overall collection at MVR736.3 million.
Looking at non-tax revenues, the strongest contribution has been made by dividends collected from State-Owned Enterprises.
According to the stats from Ministry of Finance, dividends from SOEs has reached MVR1,582.3 million.
Meanwhile, the projections for SOE dividends for 2019 was only at MVR874.0 million.
Another major non-tax column is the fees and charges, which has reached MVR1,312.4 million in cumulative total.
