BML transforms banking services with new service centers

Bank of Maldives is set to open new dedicated service centers in various locations of Male’ City.

The announcement comes in line of the bank’s “strategic focus to provide better customer service.”

In addition to this, the decision is part of their effort to provide “innovative products of the highest international standards.”

According to BML, a new Account Opening Center and Loan Center is set to open in January 2020.

As such, these centers as their name suggests will be made accessible for customers wishing to open accounts or acquire loans.

Moreover, a new Digital Branch is set to open in the central road – Majeedhee Magu – of Male’ sometime in 2020.

According to BML, this new branch will “provide an innovative, state-of-the-art digital banking experience to customers.”

Thus, meaning the current BML branch in Majeedhee Magu will close down for upgrades from 02 February 2020.

Commenting on these set plans, the bank’s CEO and Managing Director Tim Sawyer said, “we look forward to delivering improved quality of service with the opening of the new Account Opening Center and Loan Center.”

In addition to this, he added “together with our plan to introduce our Digital Branch, this transformation will truly enhance the banking experience for customers.”

Meanwhile, the new Account Opening Center, Loan Center with existing Customer Service Center and Business Center will cater to all non-transactional services.

Thus centralizing all branch transaction services including deposits and withdrawals in Male’ to the bank’s main branch.

BML boasts of a nationwide network of 37 branches across 20 atolls, 50 Self-Service Banking Centers, 115 ATMs, 277 agents and a full suite of Digital Banking services.
