Police Announce the Arrest of Five Who Fled a Quarantine Facility

Maldives Police have confirmed the arrest of five individuals who have escaped the quarantine facility in Herathera Resort.

Early this morning the twitter account of Maldives Police announced their arrest from the facility which is designated to quarantine residents of the southernmost atolls during the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak in the country.

As per the instructions of the Health Protection Agency (HPA), Maldives Police have been arresting any who are travelling from island to island without prior approval.
