MT Højgaard, one of the Nordic region’s leading construction and civil engineering companies, has been awarded contract to build harbors in three islands from Baa atoll.
The islands are Kudarikilu, Dhonfanu and Kihaadhoo.
The contract valued at MVR 108.3 million was signed by Director General Fathimath Shana Farooq on behalf of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure Ministry by, and by Senior Project Manager Jorgen Feldborg Skaarup on behalf of MT Hojgaard.
The company has been in operations in the Maldives since 1999.
