PPM Urges Government To Speak Up for Palestine

Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) in a press release have strongly condemned the attacks on Palestine and called the the government to speak up and play a more vocal role to protect the rights of Palestinians.

Along with the start of the holy fasting month of Ramadan, Palestine have been heavily bombarded with Israeli attacks. In the press statement released yesterday, PPM condemned the barbaric and inhumane act while extending support for the Palestinian brothers and sisters who are being arbitrarily attacked by Israel.

The statement continued calling President Ibrahim Solih’s government to end the new policy of remaining silent on the Palestine-Israel conflict. It further stated that it is PPM’s belief that the new government should carry on the love that the Maldivian people have been expressing for the Palestinians and carry forward policies of all former governments which is in support for Palestine.

Closing the statement, PPM urged the government to play a more active and vocal in protecting the rights of the Palestinian people.
