Health Minister of the Maldives, Abdulla Ameen has met with the Health Minister of Malaysia.
During The World Health Assembly (WHA) 2019 held in Geneva, Switzerland, Mr Ameen met the Health Minister of Malaysia, Dr Dzulkefly, where discussions about improving the quality of health services by enhancing the skills and knowledge of doctors and nurses working in the Maldives were exchanged.
WHA is a forum through where the world’s highest health policy setting body, World Health Organization (WHO) meets to discuss the policies of the organization, appoint the Director-General, supervise financial policies, and review and approve the proposed programme budget. This annual forum conducted in Geneva, Switzerland will be continued until the 28th of May.
In a press conference, Abdul Ameen has mentioned the health facilities in the Maldives has been decreasing in quality and necessary measures will be taken to improve and provide a better service for the public.
