Travel agents in UAE reports Maldives is amongst the top destinations residents are travelling for the Eid holidays this year.
According to travel agents from UAE, destinations such as Turkey, Armani, Bangkok and the Maldives are gaining popularity among travelers, with demand increasing to a staggering 80%.
For this year’s Eid Al Fitr holiday it’s likely that UAE residents could enjoy five days off, and has sparked excitement among those looking for a small getaway. It has been reported that due to the eid booking rush, air ticket prices have soured sky-high with prices increasing by 20 to 80 percent.
According to statistics, 19,253 tourists from the Middle East have visited the Maldives so far this year, this includes 3,163 people from UAE alone making them the second highest country of people traveling to the Maldives from the region.
