The Maldives Association of HR Professionals (MAHRP) has confirmed the speakers for the learning and development conference set to take place on the 3rd of August.
The confirmed speakers for the conference are Kenneth Kwan, who is a leadership speaker, an author and a high performance strategist, Tharaka Appuhamuy, an Assistant General Manager for Talent Management and a Quality Assurance at Aitken Spence Hotels, Ahmed Saeid, who is the Director of HR and Training at Furaveri Island Resort and Spa and finally, Ahmed Ibrahim, the Head of HR Business Partner at Bank of Maldives.
The event will be focused on finding smart, creative strategies and techniques to meet the current demand and needs of L&D, challenges of today and ways to handle the future workforce.
The one-day conference would address a wide array of topics such as; Global Best Practices in Training, Supporting a Culture of Learning, Redefining Learning ROI, Building Effective L&D programmes, Learning for Millennials, Strategies to attract Gen Z Workers, Retaining Top Talents and Successful Onboarding Programs.
MAHRP President and the Regional Director of Training, Development and Quality Assurance at LUX* Resorts, Hussain Afeef stated that they understood the need for such an event which targets main concepts of learning and development in HR and organizational development. He further stated that MAHRP wants to value and communicate with the learning and development experts in the Maldives through this event.
MAHRP also organized an exclusive coaching session in the Maldives with Ron Kaufman, the world’s major advisor for customer experience, and the first ever National HR Convention and Expo.
The primary aim of the organization for 2019 is to identify key difficulties in the growth of human capital and operate to add importance to all aspects of HR across the nation. This involves a sequence of events, including sharing of HR expertise, sharing best practice, HR organizational tier quizzes, HR conventions and discussion meetings, as well as inspiring discussions with world-class participants.
