A total of 11 Maldivian students achieved first place worldwide in the 2018 Advanced Level examinations in five subjects. From which two students won first place in two subjects.
In addition to this, 195 students place in the national top ten from which 4 students place first who also received the presidential scholarship. 7 students achieved second place and 14 won third.
During the Top Ten awards ceremony held at Dharubaaruge, President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih awarded the four students who ranked first in the Maldives while the Vice President Faisal Naseem presented awards to the students who achieved worldwide recognition.
