Students and teachers of Gaaf Dhaal Faresmaathodhaa island are facing serious health issues such as nausea, headaches and fever due to the smoke that is being emitted from the Island’s Engine House.
Students also claim that the smoke has hindered the students’ ability of focusing which is causing hindrances to their education.
The island’s council revealed that they will bring a solution to the issue “within a week”. But bringing a solution to the problem is being hindered by the frequent changes in the managerial position of the engine house, however, a solution is said to be brought within the pending week, with employees of the state utility company FENAKA Corporation already having begun working on a solution.
Concerned Guardians had padlocked the school in attempts to protest the unsafe environment, up until FENAKA had assured them that a solution will be brought within a weeks notice.
