Dredging works needed in the development of Faresmathoda Airport has been completed.
According to Faresmathoda Council member Yasir Mohamed, the land has been reclaimed between four uninhabited islands for the development of the airport and that the survey teams have already inspected the area. He added that work such as the addition of aggregate is currently ongoing.
Furthermore, he assured that the Planning Ministry has informed that the practical work of the airport will be implemented and completed within the year.
The Faresmathoda Airport includes 1.2 km long runway, apron and a passenger terminal.
