The Maldives has established diplomatic ties with Rwanda on Friday.
The agreement to establish diplomatic ties with Rwanda, a commonwealth country, was signed in New York at the permanent Rwandan mission.
The agreement was signed by Thilmeeza Hussain from Maldives who is the countries representative to the United Nation.
Rwanda is the 172 nation to establish diplomatic ties with the Maldives and the second country to do so with President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih’s administration.
The Maldives is open to establishing diplomatic ties with any country who want to the Foreign Office had earlier stated.
