The universal health insurance scheme of the Maldives, Aasandha has reached MVR 698 million in expenses during the current year.
According to the Finance Ministry’s Weekly Fiscal Developments statistics, a total budget of MVR 1 billion was allocated to Assandha for the year 2019.
The report also states that MVR 790.9 million has been utilized from a budget of MVR 1.097 billion that was allocated for subsidies. From a budget of MVR 7.2 million that was allocated for Public Sector Investment Program (PSIP) projects, MVR 2.5 million has been used.
In addition to this, it is estimated that the state will receive revenue of MVR 24 billion including grants. So far MVR 16 billion has been received and MVR 18 million has been utilized from a total budget of MVR 31 billion allocated for the current year.
