Vice President Faisal Naseem states that the government is working to make creativity learning a part of the education being provided to children.
During his speech at the inauguration ceremony of the National Arts and Craft Exhibition ‘Fannu Expo 2019’ held at the National Art Gallery, he urged everyone to promote Maldivian workmanship.
He also highlighted the rich culture, traditions, creativity and vibrant craftsmanship across the nation while stating the lack of effort to promote such work. He ensured that the administration will put in the much-needed effort to encourage such talent which demonstrates the Maldivian national identity on an international stage.
While concluding his speech, he encouraged youths, especially female entrepreneurs to work and be self-sufficient and contribute to economic development.
The five-day exhibition that acts as a venue to showcase and market creative arts and craftsmanship will be held from 22nd to 28th of November at Dharubaaruge, Kalaafaanu School and the Children’s Park.
