More than 150kg of drugs have been found by a joint operation conducted by the national intelligence unit of the Maldives. The drugs have been busted by the help of the Maldivian Coast guard along with the information and intelligence provided by the Indian Army.
According to Hindustan Times news, the joint operation conducted by the two countries stated that the boat was found in the Maldivian territory consisting of this large shipment sent directly from Pakistan. After the boat entered the Maldivian territory, Maldives Police Services along with the Coast guard decided to check the boat and two bags of Heroin were found weighing more than 150kg.
The boat is currently under investigation by the Maldivian authorities and so far no statement has been released by either of the Maldivian authorities. According to Hindustan Times news, this is the second biggest drug bust originated from Pakistan and this a huge concern to the Indian Authorities.
