The construction of a harbour in Baa Fulhadhoo has been mobilised.
In July this year, the Ministry of Planning granted MVR 48 million to the Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) for the harbour venture.
According to MTCC, the harbour construction would consist of 51,861cbm of dredging and excavation along with the development of a 108-meter deep breakwater, 302-meter disclosing span, 223-meter quay wall and a concrete bridge walkway.
The contract also involves installing a ramp, interlocking pavements, and placing mooring blocks, navigation masts, and harbour lights.
MTCC is to complete the venture within 390 days.
