The young people of this generation should have good religious beliefs and obedience from the heart, in order to brighten their future, said former parliament member Ibrahim Shaheed Zaki.
He said that midst his speech at the prize giving ceremony of Thadheegul quran-ul-kareem’s 7th annual Quran competition at N. Nilandhoo as the chief guest of the event. He further said that it is worshiping God that keeps people away from doing bad deeds. He had advised everyone to not miss any prayers and to recite Quran more often.
Speaking more of his speech he had requested parents to improvise their children in both religious and disciplinary ways and also spoke about how important it is for parents to be the role model for their children. He reminded the attendees to be patient, appreciative and to always remember God in every phase of life.
Ibrahim Shaheed Zakee was in the service of foreign affairs for 25 years and a parliament member representing Raa atoll for two terms.
Classes at Thadheegul quran-ul-kareem started about 50 years ago.
