The Bank of Maldives (BML) has introduced the American Express Platinum Credit Card for the Maldivian customer-base.
According to BML, the new card offers exclusive privileges, travel benefits, concierge and lifestyle experiences.
In ceremony at Kurumba Maldives on 28 November, Minister of National Planning and Infrastructure Mohamed Aslam launched the new credit card.
“We’re delighted to launch the new American Express Platinum Credit Card which sets an international benchmark of world-class card privileges and unparalleled value for our customers,” the bank’s CEO and Managing Director Tim Sawyer commented.
While Commenting on the partnership, the Vice President and Business Head of Global Network Services of American Express South Asia division, Divya Jain said “our long association with Bank of Maldives since 2004 is a partnership we cherish and respect.”
In addition, she added “the launch of the Platinum Credit Card combines the strength of the American Express brand and our global network with Bank of Maldives’ local knowledge and expertise.”
Moreover, she went on include “we are confident that this superior product and the aspirational value of our brand will help attract more loyal customers to the bank.”
Bank of Maldives is the exclusive issuer and merchant acquiring partner for American Express cards in the country.
