Minister of Home Affairs Imran Abdulla met with Indian Home Secretary Amit Shah during his visit to India. The meeting took place on Friday and in New Delhi, India’s capital.
Discussions were held on ways to further deepen and strengthen ties between Maldives and India, according to the Indian Government.
Discussions were also held on Police Force, Law Enforcement, Terrorism and Anti-Extremism.
Both parties discussed strategies for further strengthening cooperation.
The meeting was also attended by Maldives Police Commissar Mohamed Hameed and State Minister of Home Affairs Ali Nazeer.
The delegation also met with the Indian Police Academy, India’s National Investigation Agency, Narcotics Control Bureau, and the University of Gujarat Forensics Sciences.
Minister of Home Affairs Imran Abdulla thanked India for its invitation and generous hospitality towards him and his delegation.
He also appreciated the continuous support and assistance provided to the Maldives by the Indian government.
