Cabinet meeting held to discuss government procedures relating to implementing the decision to ease the currently imposed lockdown.
In a press release, the President’s Office stated that in the meeting held virtually online yesterday afternoon, discussions were held to about the procedures to begin phase one of easing the restrictive measures, as easing of these measures will be proportionate to the country’s success in controlling the virus, and will also involve gradually relaxing the ongoing lockdown in the Greater Male’ Region.
Furthermore the cabinet also discussed measures in place to ensure that the country can continue to provide basic services without interruption.
The current lockdown has been extended last night with less restrictive measures, beginning the phase 1 of the complete removal of the lockdown.
