World Health Organization (WHO) has donated another 10,000 COVID-19 test kits to the Maldives.
A ceremony was held today to commemorate the donation, and was attended by Minster of Health Abdulla Amin, and WHO representative to the Maldives Dr Arvind Mathur. Minister highlighted the significant role WHO is playing in the country’s fight against the virus, such as the organization’s assistance in establishing testing facilities within the atolls.
This brings the total of test kits donated by WHO to the Maldives to 40,000 over the course of the pandemic.
