An additional 20 cases of COVID-19 have been recorded in Maldives, reports Health Protection Agency (HPA).
Of the 20 confirmed cases 14 are Maldivians and the rest after are Bangladeshi nationals. With today’s cases the total number of COVID-19 confirmed cases in the country rises to 1,962.
The agency further reported the recovery of 111 patients from the novel corona virus, bringing the tally of those recovered in the country to 1,121. The total number of active cases are not at 825.
The Maldivian government have introduced easing measures to remove the restrictions set in place to curb the virus, as the rate of new cases identified in the country decreases.
