A land has been allocated and released to the government of Pakistan for the purpose of building a new diplomatic mission by the Maldivian government.
Foreign Minister Abdulla Shahid on behalf of the Maldives and the High Commissioner Designate of Pakistan attended a virtual meeting to commemorate the release of the land plot from the diplomatic enclave which is being established in Hulhumale’ Phase 2.
The diplomatic enclave is an initiative by the Maldivian government, in which all the diplomatic missions in the capital city are being moved to a special area in Phase 2 of Hulhumale’ as a measure of additional security and reduce congestion in the capital.
