New COVID-19 management facilities have been opened in Addu CIty, Fuvahmulah City and HA. Ihavandhoo.
In a virtual ceremony the facilities were inaugurated in the presence of the Foriegn Minister Abdulla Shahid, Health Minister Abdulla Ameen and the Director General of Public Health Maimoona Aboobakuru, and hospital managers and members of parliament of the respective constituencies.
The facilities are part of the plan of the government to decentralize the effort to curb the spread of COVID-19 in the country and to increase the capacity of healthcare in the atolls.
