In the new change of regulation brought by due to COVID-19’s affect of people’s income rate shows that, among the people who earns through a job, those who had faced negative affects for income since 1st December of 2019 would receive the income support allowance.

However, previously it was set that income support allowance would be given to the people who’s income had been negatively affected since this May due to the COVID-19.

The aim for the regulation of providing income allowance for people who’s income has been negatively affected is for people with jobs who’s income have been negatively affected due to COVID-19 to have support in fulfilling the necessities of their daily lives with the help of the government.

The mediums/categories for people who’s job had been affected by COVID-19 is people who had been (expelled) from the job and suspended with no pay or sent on a no pay leave and people who had experienced a reduction in salary. Therefore, the regulation states that such people would be given MVR 5000 as an allowance.
