Four candidates have been approved for the Civil Service Commission by the Parliament.
The newly approved candidates for the commission are Fathimath Shareef, Mohamed Farusath, Mohamed Nasih, and Ibrahim Rasheed. The ruling MDP who holds the majority of seats on the floor issued a three-line whip for the approval of the candidates.
The vacancies at the commission came after the resignation of three members including the president and vice-president and the impeachment another member. The Civil Service Commission Act mandates the Parliament to announce, vet and pass candidates for any vacancies in the commission.
