Permission granted to form National Reform Party

Permission to create two new parties was asked today, said election commission’s vice president Amjadh Mustafa.

Under the name “Karisma Party Maldives” was asked for permission by Mohamed Ismail. And the other politcal party that had asked for permission to create was “National Reform Party” by Mohamed Didi.

Didi was actively campaigning along with former president Yameen Abdul Gayoom’s running mate Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed.

Previously last week election common had given permission to two new political parties one of which was former president Yameen’s “People’s National Congress” (PNC) and the other one was former vice president Adheeb’s “Maldives Third-Way Democratic” (MTD)

MTD now has over 3000 people and has conducted a meeting. Rumours have been spread of PNC having 3000 members right after having the authorization to make the political party.
