In a bid to improve diplomatic relations and development between the countries, the Maldives – Japan Policy Dialogue Conference’s second round of discussions has been conducted.
The State Minister of the Foreign Ministry of Maldives, Mr Ahmed Khaleel represented the Maldives and Mr Shigeki Takizaki, Director of East and South West Asia Department of the Foreign Ministry of Japan represented Japan.
Discussions in developing bilateral relations, defense and national security along with economic policies were discussed in this dialogue conference.
This is the second such event conducted by the nations, the first of which was held back in 2018.
