The blue print of the new era!

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih on Wednesday declared that the administration’s Strategic Action Plan (SAP) is organized, definitive, prioritized and time-bound.

While speaking at the ceremony held to unveil the administration’s Strategic Action Plan (SAP) for the next five years, President Solih referred to the plan as the ‘blueprint of a new era of development’.

The SAP summaries developmental targets and priorities for five years from 2019 to 2023. According to the administration, the plan sets out realistic strategic goals that would help accomplish key developmental milestones in realizing people’s hopes and dreams of a “Jazeera Raajje.”

SAP is based on five priority areas; Blue Economy outlining economic priorities and how it will be delivered in a sustainable manner; Caring State outlining priorities relevant to social progress; Dignified Families defining means to address discrimination and prioritise neglected persons; “Jazeera Dhiriulhun” describing priorities related to community infrastructure and services; and Good Governance representing key governance reforms.

In addition to providing an outline of the developmental plan for the next five years, the SAP will also provide an opportunity for citizens to hold the government accountable by making clear which results can be delivered within a specified period of time.
