Direct Flights has been introduced between Japan and Maldives

SriLankan Airlines introduces direct flights between Maldives and Tokyo, Capital of Japan.

The first flight, UL461 landed to Velana Internation Airport from Narita International Airport in Tokyo last Thursday.

According to SriLankan Airlines, there will be four direct flight per week between Maldives and Tokyo.

A total of 22,642 Japanese tourists visited the Maldives in the first quarter of 2019, making them one of the top countries where tourists visit the Maldives from. With the introduction of direct flight operations, this amount is expected to increase drastically.
