South Asian regional badminton tournament under 21 has started after the completion of the MVR 6.1 million worth indoor hall at Addu City.
The promise of hosting an international competition/tournament of the government was fulfilled last night, with the start of the badminton tournament among six SAARC countries. The number of athletes took part in this tournament sum up to 56.
The newly built indoor hall cost MVR 6.1 million and it is now fully built, says the minister of youth, Ahmed Mahloof.
The indoor hall consists of four courts that are approved by the Asian badminton training. Moreover, the flooring as well as the furniture used in the hall completely satisfy the boundaries stated by Badminton Asia.
