The latest Malé Area Command Operation Centre of the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) was launched by President and Commander-in-Chief Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.
President Solih opened the new command centre at the MNDF headquarters during a special function on Sunday.
The new base uses modern technological innovations to monitor special operations and enhance MNDF’s Area Operations Centre’s abilities.
The event was attended by Defence Minister Mariya Ahmed Didi, Major General Abdulla Shamaal, Chief of Defence Force, and other MNDF high-ranking officers. MNDF Malé Area Commander Colonel Abdul Rauf gave a presentation on the centre’s capacity during the function to President Solih.
