Maldivian Cancels Colombo Repatriation Flight Scheduled for Friday

The Maldivian repatriation flight scheduled to fly this Friday from Colombo has been postponed.

The country’s national carrier made the announcement without specifying a new rescheduled date to fly to the Sri Lanka.

Another flight from Colombo landed earlier today bringing 262 Maldivians to the country.

The cancelled repatriation flight was announced earlier this week to bring back locals stranded in Colombo due the the restrictions put in place by both the governments. Maldivian had previously conducted successful repatriation flights evacuating a number of locals back to Maldives.
