State Trading Organization (STO) has begun building a 19 bed quarantine facility in Thaajuddin School.
The company announced that the facility is built in an effort to increase the capacity to care for COVID-19 patients, as current facilities are filling up due to the increase in cases.
A total of 7,225 cases of the novel corona virus has been confirmed in the Maldives and the country has been recording an average of 100 cases of the virus everyday.
