Last month MIRA received an income of MVR1.31 billion.
According to MIRA, this amount is 12.6% higher than the amount they made in April in the previous year and it’s 6.3% more than what they had estimated for this year.
A considerable number of overdue tax was paid during the month of April and is said to be the main reason for this increase in income. This includes overdue tax from TGST, GGST, BPT and resorts rent.
Majority 67.1% (MVR 875.69 million) of the income was from GST and the second highest with 6.4% (MVR 83.6 million) of the income was received from green tax.
In addition to this, last months income included USD55.9 million.
