Independence Day Celebrations To Be Held on 27th July

The Independence Day celebration drill and parade carried out by Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) to be held on July 27, 2019.

According to MNDF, the parade will begin at 4:30 PM from MNDF headquarters and will head west from Ameer Ahmed Magu, then turn south from Chaandhanee Magu and east from Medhu Ziyaarai Magu. Continuing to the north towards Shaheed Abdulla Zuhairu Hingun to Boduthakurufaanu Magu and then west from Mageedhee Magu, south to Kanban Aisaarani Hingun and east to Ameenee Magu, then turn south from Izzudhdheen Magu before concluding at Kalhuthukkalaa Koshi.

A total of five stops will be made at Muliaage, Roashany Magu and Boduthakurufaanu Magu junction, Mageedhee Magu and Sosun Magu junction, Mageedhee Magu and Chaandhanee Magu junction, and lastly in front of Mageedhee Magu Cemetery where the MNDF army band will perform during the parade.
