A foreign worker died at a resort construction site after being crushed by brick making machine in Noonu atoll.
Police said the victim was 25-years of age and was already dead by the time he was brought to Manadhoo Island Hospital.
The man was believed to have been under the belt of the brick making machine. Authorities said he sustained severe injuries.
The foreigner, who’s country and identity police did not reveal, was working for Sun Siyam Group.
The resort in Dhigurah Island, where the foreigner was working, will be Sun Siyam Group’s fifth resort in the Maldives.
