Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA) collected a total revenue of MVR1.15 billion in November 2019.
As per the authority, the total revenue to state during the month rose by 17.7% compared to November 2018.
Moreover, the collection was up by 33.5% from forecast projections for the review month.
Furthermore, GST collection for the review month held a 56.6% share of the total revenue.
Meanwhile, Green Tax shared 6.4% and Airport Development Fee shared 5.2% of the total revenue.
According to MIRA, total tax revenues in November 2019 hit MVR848,997,713 which is an increase from November 2018.
As per records, total tax revenues in November 2018 hit MVR834,031,637.
GST collection in review month hit MVR651,681,170 compared to MVR639,320,370 in November 2018.
Meanwhile, Green Tax collection grew strongly from MVR66,937,912 in November last year to MVR73,151,612 in review month.
However, BPT witnessed a drop from MVR57,669,788 in November 2018 to MVR55,325,88 in November 2019.
In addition to this, the total non-tax revenue collection hit MVR301,731,418 in review month.
Thus, it marks a strong improvement from MVR143,449,891 in November 2018.
As per MIRA, the total revenue to state in the review month hit MVR1,150,729,132.
