According to sources, CP Munaz is summoned to court over a possible controversial tweet he posted on the popular micro-texting social platform.
Moreover, Maldives Criminal Court suspects his tweet creates an adversarial image of the court.
Thus, the Commissioner is being summoned to assess the nature and reasoning for his action.
As per local sources, CP Munaz was subpoenaed to attend the Maldives Criminal Court on 13:00hrs of Thursday.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner himself was unavailable for comments regarding the matter.
Previously, Munaz held membership of the Death and Disappearances Commission formed under Maldives President’s constitutional rights.
