An additional three resorts is to be setup as quarantine facilities, reveals Ministry of Tourism Ali Waheed.
The additional three resorts would function as quarantine facilities for people travelling from Male’ to other islands in the country. In a tweet Minister stated that, Hdh. Hondaafushi, F. Filitheyo, and M. Medhufushi Resort are the resorts the government is converting into makeshift quarantine facilities.
Recently more than 5000 people have requested for governments assistance to return to their islands from the nations capital Male’. The city currently under lock down have been reporting cases at an increasing alarming rate.
Arrangements are being made for those who have requested wanting to return to their islands. The current protocols implemented by the government calls for any who are to leave the capital to undergo a compulsory 14-day quarantine before being allowed to return to their respective islands.
