Maldives Transport and contracting Company (MTCC) has commenced work of a land reclamation and coastal protection project in K. Guraidhoo.
The MVR 80 million project was awarded to the state owned MTCC on August 27, 2019. The project consists of dredging and reclamation of 644,000 square meter area in island’s lagoon, and the construction of a 1,200 meter rock boulder revetment.
The company management revealed that the project was delayed due to the ongoing pandemic but has is now resumed under the new normal guidlines.
