Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has forwarded a case of the former Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dr. Ahmed Ziyadh to Prosecutor General’s Office with allegations of corruption.
The allegations are related to the agreement to award the construction of Zikra Mosque to the local construction company SJ Construction.
The case built by ACC also seeks to charge to the former head of Endowment of the Islamic Ministry, Mr. Ibrahim Abdulla Saeed.
The case reads that the awarding of the project to SJ Construction was aimed at providing unfair advantages to a certain part. It also read that the agreement and the procedure was not beneficial to the government as it resulted in multiple losses to the government and unfair advantages to SJ Construction.
