Built on the island of Aluvifushi, located near Dh. Bandidhoo, the resort is a 40-minute seaplane ride away rfom Velana International Airport. It is the third tourist resort of Sun Siyam Resorts’ brand, Sun Aqua.
The 5-star premium all-inclusive resort is scheduled to open in October.
The resort boasts beach and water villas and suites, totalling 125 luxury rooms; each with a private pool.
The resort has a large communal pool, a recreation centre, a water sports centre, a children’s club, and an over-water spa.
One of its three restaurants is open 24/7 and offers an international menu. Another is a grill restaurant on the beach which serves fresh seafood, and the other is an over-water restaurant which specializes in Italian cuisine.
Promotional activities for the resort will be held in Tokyo, Japan; and additional promotional activities will be held in China and South Korea as well as other countries during the next couple of months.
The Sun Aqua Iru Veli will become the fifth resort by Sun Siyam Resorts and its third property under the brand Sun Aqua.
