America to increase its investment in the Maldives.

In a meeting held on Monday Tourism Minister Ali Waheed and America’s ambassador to the Maldives, Alaina B. Teplitz discussed possible opportunities for America to invest in the Maldives tourism sector.

Communication Director of Tourism Ministery, Fathimath Niusha mentioned, amongst the many discussion they had, they mostly focused on finding ways America could invest in the Maldives. She also mentioned how they exchanged views on advertising the Maldives in America and on conducting training for the ministry’s staffs.

During Telplitz visit to the Maldives, she has met up with the Maldivian defence minister, Mariya Ahmed Didi and high-level staff from the Foreign ministry.

To conclude her visit with Ali Waheed, she joined them for Iftar to experience the culture and the traditions of the month Ramadan.
