Abdul Maniu Hussain elected as the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) member appointed from among lawyers.
In the Saturday’s election, Manue won the election with 199 votes while Ali Rasheed came second with 124 votes, Former Information Commissioner Abdul Azeez Jamaal came in third with 37 votes and Haneefa Khalid received 27 votes.
This is the first election organized by the newly established Bar Council where a total of 404 layers took part in the voting process.
